How to Wear Beach Makeup

Great Day! Are you spending your summer at the beach of by the pool? Per New York City makeup artist Gucci Westman, a full face of makeup just looks wrong at the beach or by the pool. Any products you put on should be light and sheer-you want to look like a summer version of yourself.

Protect you skin. Before you apply any makeup, slather on a generous coat of sunscreen. Give it at least 20 minutes to soak in-it needs to dry for full
effectiveness and so that anything you put on top won’t smear.

Forget flawless. In humid weather, anything that is creamy or greasy-like foundation or concealer is going to smudge almost instantly. If you absolutely can’t imagine going without coverage, try mixing a bit of foundation into your sunscreen and apply it that way. Also, use a
translucent powder to combat shine. If you need to cover a blemish, use a stiff concealer brush or a Q-tip to dab a little pressed powder onto the area.

Are You A Natural Woman

Are you a natural woman, if so keep reading? Most women prefer a more natural look that shows off their natural beauty. For a natural look you will need three eye shadows. The first one will need to match your skin tone exactly. The second shade will be slightly darker. The third shade should be lighter than the shade that matches your skin. Depending on your skin tone, the eye shadow you choose may vary.

  • After applying your foundation highlight your brow bone with the lightest shade and use the medium shade as a wash on your eyelid. Use the darker shadow to contour your eye or apply it in the crease of your eyelid.

  • Apply brown or dark brown eyeliner. For a natural look, you want to use brown eyeliner as opposed to black eyeliner.

Apply a light or nude-colored blush. If you have dark skin, you are going to want to choose a deeper colored blush and if you have light skin, you need a lighter colored blush. Apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks.

  • Apply a nude-colored lip gloss. Choose a nude-colored gloss that compliments your skin tone.

He's Borrowing Your Moisturizer

Yes ladies, your husband has been in your medicine cabinet. No, he's not snooping--he's borrowing your moisturizer.

Listen up fellas skincare products are not exclusive to women. In fact, there are a huge variety of products designed especially for men. Men you should analyze your skin type. Maybe it's dry and flaky, or perhaps you're prone to breakouts. Knowing your skin's specific needs makes it easier to find the perfect moisturizer.

To pick a moisturizer men you must get one
Neutrogena Men Age Fighter Face Moisturizer, 1.4-Ounce Packages (Pack of 2)specifically for your skin type. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, choose an oil-free variety. A moisturizer is important, not only for hydration, but to combat the effects of aging like fine lines and wrinkles.

Test the moisturizer to make sure it's not too greasy or heavily scented. See how long it takes for the moisturizer to absorb into your skin. Rich, creamy moisturizers take longer to absorb but are generally more effective than thin, fast-absorbing moisturizers.

Q & A Makeup/Beauty

Hey Readers! I'm glad you enjoyed the previous video Bronzed Up Summer Makeup tutorial. Don't forget to send me an email on different looks you would like to see. One of our members from, the "If You Luv Makeup & Beauty" network wanted to know some of my beauty secrets. Here are a few.

What's the cheapest and expensive thing in your makeup bag?

The cheapest product in my makeup bag is lash glue and the most expensive product is foundation.

What's a beauty item you cannot live without?

I can't live without Foundation, False Lashes and Flori Roberts Shea Butter.

Your make up always looks flawless -- How do you achieve that look?

I moisturize my face daily and exfoliate twice a week...

Do you ever leave the house without any makeup on?

No Way! As a makeup artist I am my own walking advertisement.

I like looking pretty for my mate when we retire so how can I keep my skin
fresh and glowing without much effort?

Drink plenty water and moisturize your face at least twice a day. As for the body try
Flori Roberts amazing Shea Butter.

A must have beauty's a luxurious body cream made from shea butter, a natural extract. The scent is heavenly but does not interfere with other fragrances. Shea Nut Body Butter alleviates dryness, provides sun protection, and penetrates deep into the skin to nourish and soften. Extended use gradually fades out skin discoloration, burns, and cuts.
