How to Apply Liquid Eyeliner

Great Day! With liquid eyeliner, there is never a need to use a sharpener!

Prepare your eyelid by applying eye primer and eyeshadow. It is much easier to apply liquid eyeliner correctly when there is already a cosmetic base because it creates a smooth surface.

Select the color of your liquid eyeliner. Liquid eyeliner's purpose is to create fullness and thickness in the eyelashes, so choose the same color as the mascara you plan to use for a more natural look.

Steady your hand and gently lay the tip of the felt applicator onto your upper eyelid at the base of your eyelashes. Move along your lash line slowly, creating a smooth line. Do not pull your skin because when it relaxes, you will not have a smooth line.

Line your upper lid as close to the lash line as possible, using small, short strokes. Since you may have an unsteady hand or your brush may tickle your lashes, causing you to blink, its best not to attempt to make one long line with your brush when first learning how to apply the liner. Some people line their eyelids with their eyes open, while others apply the liner while their eyes are closed -- it simply depends on which way is more comfortable for you.

If the line tends to look irregular, simply correct any mistakes with some eye makeup remover on a cotton swab. If using the applicator is still difficult for you after several practice sessions, you may want to try an eyeliner brush to apply your liquid eyeliner.
