How to Exfoliate Your Body

Hey Everybody! Get Excited! Get Excited!  I’m back with another informational blog.  Let’s talk beautyIf you want your body to look healthy and radiant, exfoliate. By removing the top layer of dead epidermis cells, you will make your skin smoother.

Did you know that salt scrub works wonders for aging skin?   If you've never tried one, you're in for a treat. The salt crystals penetrate and remove dead dry skin leaving the skin soft, glowing, clean and clear... an excellent salt scrub like “ICE WATERS” is an exfoliator for both men and women don't be fooled by the color.  This is the scent you would reach for to assist you in reducing your stress levels leaving you feeling CALM, COOL and COLLECTIVE!  One great access about IceWater you don’t need to apply body lotion after using. Get Excited!

To exfoliate your body starts at the soles of the feet and work your way up.  For rough or calloused feet and heels, try a pumice stone while in the bath or shower.  Use them on the rough skin of your heels when your feet are wet and soapy then used a salt scrub.

The New York Runway Report: Fall 2012

Get Excited! Get Excited! I'm back with another informational blog...Let's talk beauty!

The New York fashion verdict is in. Your grandmother’s closet will be at the top of
your shopping list next fall, with a retro mix of florals and lace, knit tweeds
and, yes, shawls making the sartorial cut. Chic sportsmanship will be of importance as well,
especially when channeling the great outdoors or reveling in the new take on military.
Travel the globe in style with your arsenal of luxe essentials — fur accents and elegant
embroidery required. And a host of cool options in the way of black leather or all-white
means there will definitely be something for everyone.

This Fall beauty revolves around rich tonal hues of purple, smokes and browns. Palettes that help create a sultry eye without relying heavily on black and gray emerges as the must have. Color Trends transition from the heat of the summer with a mix of dark, brights and neutrals. From Pink Flambe a vibrant pink and Tangerine Tango, to a mellow burnished yellow Honey Gold, and rich and robust hues like French Roast, a great alternative to the black and charcoal basics typically worn in the fall. Other staple neutrals include elegant and versatile Titanium, the quintessential cool gray, and Rose Smoke, a veiled rose tone that pairs well with ethereal Rhapsody, a grayed-down purple and Titanium.

Brighten Up for the Summer

Hey Everybody, I'm back.  Get Excited!  Let's talk beauty...Did you know that bronzer makes your eyes look brighter, your teeth whiter? Everyone looks better with a little heat added to their skin. To keep the results looking fresh and natural, apply to areas where the sun naturally hits you: forehead, cheekbones, chin, and nose. (Covering every nook and cranny on your face is what gives you that fake, baked look.)

Another essential for keeping it real: a brush with long, loose, fluffy bristles — anything densely packed will deposit too much color

This high quality professional Jumbo Powder Dome Brush (Goat/Sable Blend)  is designed to effortlessly apply powder or bronzer for a natural looking application.

This is how lips Go Bold!

Get Excited! Get Excited! I'm back with another informational blog "This is how lips Go Bold"  Follow these steps to go bold this season...

1. Use a lip brush to outline your lips with concealer. Yes, concealer. Another great use for Flori Roberts Corrective Concealer in a shade matching your skintone. This keeps lipstick from smudging, settling or feathering into lines around your mouth.

2. Apply lipstick in two layers. Set the first layer with a little loose powder before applying the second. Clean up the edges with the concealer brush.

3. Keep eye makeup minimal—the model is wearing Flori Roberts Signature Eyeshadow – Illusions.

READY FOR PRIME TIME?

DID YOU KNOW? that make-up artists used foundation primer for years before it was made available to the general public?

I'm back, Get Excited! Get Excited!Welcome to my informational beauty blog.  Let's talk beauty...

Why Use A Primer?

Foundation primer prepares the skin for the application of foundation. It fills in lines and wrinkles, even large pores, by smoothing out uneven skin texture. Makeup artists have been known to call it “spackle” because it works the same way. Flori Roberts Shine Away is specially formulated to reduce shininess, keeping your foundation looking freshly applied and lessening the need for touching up throughout the day. When priming your skin with Shine Away, you will use less of your make-up. Instead of having your foundation absorb directly into your skin, the primer acts as a base. So your foundation which adheres to your primer and does not soak into your skin.

Steps to Using a Foundation Primer
1. Moisturize your skin and let your daily moisturizer soak into your skin.
2. Apply a dime-sized amount of your foundation primer to clean fingertips.
3. Gently rub into the skin as you would your moisturizer, paying special attention to the T-Zone areas and fine lines and wrinkles.
4. Wait one to three minutes before applying your foundation.

Get Organized for Beauty 2012

Get Excited! Get Excited!  Happy 2012 let's talk beauty...Thanks for stopping by here's a few ways to organize your beauty products this year.

Keep Essentials At Hand

Cotton Swabs. The secret to truly top-notch makeup application is to blend, blend, blend. Blur edges of color with a cotton swab and you'll achieve that professional look each time.

Big Powder Brush. Get Makeup Artists results with an oversize brush, which is great for dusting on powder as a finishing touch to your look.

Slant-Tip Tweezers. Good tweezers are a must for maintaining a polished arch to your brows. Slanted tips make it easier to grab hairs at the root — just tweeze in the direction the hair is growing.

Keep It Fresh. Beauty products have a shelf life and chances are some of those items in your beauty drawer have long expired. Labeling guidelines give a quick and easy way to determine shelf life once a product has been opened. Look for the open bottle symbol. The number inside is the number of months an item can stay fresh once its been opened.

Evaluate your cosmetic bag in January, April, July and October, replace your mascara and wash your brushes with shampoo, following with conditioner (yes really- conditioner).

•Mascara This product expires the fastest: Throw out after 3 months.

•Concealer Up to 12 months

•Powder 2 years

•Cream & gel cleansers 1 year

•Pencil eye liner Should be sharpened regularly. Will last up to 3 years

•Foundation Water based 12 months, oil-based up to 18 months.

•Lip liner Up to 3 years.

•Lipstick If it smells like a candle, throw it out, it's spoiled. If you store lipstick in the refrigerator, it will last longer.
