How To Apply Eye Makeup Base

Great Day! Eye makeup base is used before you apply eye shadow color, to prevent the shadow from running and clumping in your crease and the wrinkles around your eyes. It also causes the eye shadow to last longer and prevents those little sprinkles of powder that fall underneath your eyes.

Here's a few tips on how to apply eye cream or powdered eye shadow base:

Select an eye cream base or powdered form eye shadow base. Choose a color that closely resembles your own skin tone. There are both light and dark shades available so test a variety of base colors before settling on the right one.

Tap your middle or ring finger into your eye base makeup cream. If you are using a powder base, use a regular eye shadow brush.

Apply the base gently with your ring finger, middle finger, or eye shadow brush all over your eyelid, in the crease and all the way up to your brow bone. If you are using a cream, ensure it's rubbed in completely.

Gently blend the base well with your skin, so that it doesn't look like you are wearing obvious color making sure to avoid a visible line. The base should lighten your eyes and brighten them, but not color them dramatically.

Check your application in natural light. If it appears that you have applied too much base, and then rub it off gently with a tissue paper or a new brush.

Applying Eyeshadow Under the Brow

Thanks for stopping by today! The eyes are the main focal point of the face. Eyeshadow is used to accentuate the color of the iris for a natural look and to hide flaws. To learn how to use the proper tools and techniques to apply eyeshadow under the eyebrow keep reading.

Choose eyeshadow colors that complement your skin tone, eye color and hair color. Fair-skinned women should avoid bold, bright colors and choose a pale palette. Women with a darker complexion and hair color should opt for deeper colors.

Apply eyeshadow with the proper makeup brushes. Eyeshadow Brushes should have soft but firm bristles. The bristles come in different shapes. Choose a brush based on the part of the eyelid where you're applying the color. Use round-bristled brushes when you apply makeup under the eyebrow

Brush a light color of eyeshadow from the inner corner of the eye up to the brow bone. Follow the arch of the bone to highlight the brow.

Blend the brow color gently downward toward the crease of the eyelid. Use your fingertips to blend the colors, as the natural oils on your fingers aid in blending. Go Here to accentuate your eyes.

When! How! What! Eye Primer

Hey! If You Luv Makeup & Beauty readers. I pray you are having an exciting day! Yesterday someone ask me what does a eye primer do and how to apply it? So, today I’m going to share information about hottest eye primer in the beauty arena. Oh! By the way eye priming helps eye shadow last longer and prevent creasing. Ok, Drum roll………please………

Urban Decay!
This miracle eye shadow primer is unmatched by any other in the beauty industry! The genie in this bottle fulfills three wishes: eye shadow that lasts, more vibrant and lasting color, and absolutely NO creasing. The formula is full of silicone, which you beauty mavens know makes for a smooth and silky application

How to Apply:
Apply Urban Decay Primer Potion to lids before shadow application. It dries down almost instantly (and invisibly), creating smooth lids that are super powered eye shadow magnets.

Make sure your hands are clean and open the bottle. Apply a glop on your eyelid with the wand. The secret to applying this product is to blend it on your eyelid with your fingertip not the applicator. Use your fingertip to evenly smooth the product all over your lid and up until you almost reach the brow bone; use a little extra product if needed.

Repeat on the other eye.

Now you may want to apply just a little to under your eyes. This step is optional; you only need to do this if you will be applying eyeliner or eye shadow under your eyes. For this step take the wand and apply an extremely small amount on your fingertip. Drag your finger under your eye. Don't use too much it will look crusty if you do.

Allow to dry! This takes about 4 min for the product to fully dry. Look at your eyes every now and then as it's drying to make sure it's drying evenly. It can actually crease as it's drying sometimes, it this starts to happen gently blend in.

Tips: A little goes a long way! Apply a thin coat and let dry, then apply Eye shadow as you normally would. Then DARE it to crease. (Double-dog dare it, even!)

Until next time…

GOLD RUSH BEAUTY

Great Day!

If You Love Makeup & Beauty Readers...

I'm so excited to tell you about the hottest eye color this season. Get excited it's Gold!

Sometimes the most spectacular makeup looks use only one shadow and a little imagination... Once the face is entirely made up, and above all, you've applied concealer around the eye, follow these steps:

Apply the Gold Shadow over the entire lid, blending lightly into the inner corners of the eye. If you want, increase the intensity by adding a second layer of eyeshadow. Leave the browbone clean; it isn't always necessary to use a lighter-colored eyeshadow in this area. Many times the concealer that you applied to the area can serve as a highlighter.

Next, use black eyeliner this is the part that you have to practice, but it's easy. Line your eyes at the roots of your lower eyelashes with a well-sharpened eye pencil. Follow the same procedure on your upper eyelashes, paying special attention to draw a straight line at the inner corner of your eye.

Beginning at your tear duct, draw a thin line, then thicken it at the center of the eye, and then taper it back down at the outer corners. Leave the inner rim of your eyelid without makeup to make your eyes look bigger.

Finally, apply two coats of mascara. Apply the first coat, wait until it dries, then apply the second coat.

Now all you need to do is practice :-) Until next time...Have a wonderful day!

TIPS: eyeshadow

For a more intense color, try using both powder and crème shadows together. Remember that powder on top of crème will hinder blending, but you still always begin with the crème. It contradicts the rule of crème-on-crème, powder-on-powder but it works.

You can also use your powder shadow as a eyeliner. Simply apply it wet or dry using a brush.

Some powder shadows are harder-pressed and more powdery, while others have a slightly creamy texture.
