HOW TO APPLY MAKEUP FOR WIDE EYES

Get EXCITED!  Get SUPER Excited!  Let's talk about applying makeup for wide eyes...

If the spacing between your eyes is wider than the width of one eye, your eyes are considered wide-set. Your goal is to create the illusion that they are set closer together.

*In this case, you need to darken the inside hollows of your eye next to the bridge of your nose more than for any other eye shape. Deepening the color helps this area appear to recede and makes your eyes look closer together.

*Begin all dark-color application slightly in from the outer corners and blend your shadow in and up instead of outward, because an outward blending will "pull" the eyes wider apart, and your goal is to "pull" the eyes wider apart, and your goal is to "pull" them closer together.

APPLICATION:

1. Highlight shade: Apply to brow bone and lid.

2. Mid tone shade: Starting from the outer corner of the crease, bring the color towards the inside corner of your eye. Be sure to apply a few more layers to the inside corners to deepen the color and help visually push the eyes closer together.

3. Contour shade: Starting slightly in from the outer corner, brush it across the upper lash line and up into the crease of your eye. Also sweep it underneath the lower lash line, being careful not to extend the color beyond the outer edge of the eye.

How to Give Yourself A Face Lift With Makeup

Hey Everybody!  Get Excited! Get Excited!  Let’s talk lifting the face with makeup…Did you know that applying makeup can lift/slim your face and also make you look younger?

Before giving yourself a face makeup lift use a moisturizer, night cream and SPF to help tighten your skin and enliven your pores.   Let’s get started…

Eyebrows
Tweeze your eyebrows to achieve a more lifted look in the eye area. Use an eyebrow stencil to help you get a good arching shape that is neither too high nor too straight. Then apply light shade concealer underneath the brow bone using an angle brush. Follow with an eye shadow one shade lighter than your concealer.

Cheekbones
To lift cheekbones choose a bronzer that is a few shades darker than your natural color.  Also, pick additional bronzer that has little shimmer.  Dust a light line of shimmer bronzer from your hairline to the apple of your cheek. Put the darker bronzer in the area that is sunken in when you suck in your cheeks and not on the actual cheek bone

Jawline
To lift jawline apply your regular foundation over clean, moisturized skin Use a concealer brush to apply a liquid highlighter into the creases or jowl lines.  Apply a lightweight, fluid concealer over the highlighted areas. This takes off the high-shimmer, while allowing a little of the radiance to show thorough, making jowl lines less obvious.

.
Pro Tip:  Use a white highlighter on the inside rim of the eye to help whiten/brighten to give the eyes a more youth look

5 Steps to Flawless Skin

Hey Everybody!  Get Excited!  I'm back with another blog.  Did you know using a foundation brush is excellent because they insure you don't use too much product?  Let's talk about how to obtain flawless skin...

Here's 5 Steps to Flawless Skin

Tip 1: Primer your skin
Using a primer is like wearing a slip under your dress…it smooth's everything out and hides your imperfections.

Tip 2: Know your skin type before selecting a formula
Foundation comes in all forms, and should be selected based in skin type. Drier skin types should wear a moisture-base formula. Oily or acne-prone should wear an oil-controlling formula. A natural, mineral-rich foundation is great for any skin type.

Tip 3: Choose the right tools
Applying foundation is a personal preference and each method creates a different finish. For liquid foundations, using your finger creates a sheer look, while the Foundation Brushes produces a very smooth seamless finish. For powder makeup, use the Round Buff Brush for even, all-over coverage.

Tip 4: Apply concealer over foundation
Applying concealer over foundation allows for better coverage and prevents the concealer from getting swept away. Using a full-coverage formula will instantly conceal dark circles, lines and wrinkles, while reducing puffiness and redness.

Tip 5: Set your look with powder
Powder is a great way to complete your look. Keep it very light use a fluffy Powder Brush to dust a lightweight formula.

3 Ways To Keep Makeup On All Day

Hey Everybody!   I'm back Get EXCITED!  Did you know exfoliating is the key to prepping your skin for makeup application?  The smoother the surface, the more even it can be applied and last longer .  Let's talk about 3 ways to keep makeup on all day...

  • Moisturize - For oily skin, buy an oil free or gel moisturizer, and for dry skin buy a more nourishing one. Make sure to get a moisturizer with at least SPF 15 in it to protect you skin from the sun, or a separate SPF 45 if you live in a sunny place. If you are older, you can use a moisturizer with anti-wrinkle properties.
  • Prime your face using a good primer is the one way to lasting makeup all day.
  • Use an eye primer it makes your eye shadow last longer and prevents creasing in the lid. A liquid concealer can work also.

Transculent Powder Instead of Tinted Powder

Hey Everybody! Get SUPER Excited!  I'm back with another informational beauty blog.   Let's talk beauty...Did you know that transculent powder can be worn all year?

Pro Tip
Try transculent powder to set makeup instead of tinted powder so you won't have to replace it season to season.

Because it’s translucent, this powder is the perfect match for any skin tone – from very fair to dark. It sets foundation for a sheer, invisible finish and has light-diffusing properties designed to help soften the appearance of imperfections for a skin-perfecting look.

Application Tips

To apply:

  • Dip or dust a powder brush into powder and tap off the excess.
  • Use a very light hand in applying. The powder brush distributes powder evenly over the face without concentrating in any one area.
  • Use downward strokes from the forehead to the chin and out to the edges of the face.

MIDDAY BRIDE

If you're planning a wedding in the middle of the day, do not wear foundation with a sheen or dewiness to it. If there is any sheen to the face, it will look too shiny and reflective in the photographs. Make sure your blush has a more matte finish, too. A crème blush is a great choice for this time of day. It will absorb into your skin and look more natural. Keep in mind that crème blush does not work well on oily skin--stick with a powder blush if you fall into this category. Due to the midday lighting, if your eye makeup is too dark, your eyes will look like too dark holes in your photographs. Use a highlight with shimmer (not frost ) to open up the eyes.
