HOW TO APPLY MAKEUP FOR WIDE EYES

Get EXCITED!  Get SUPER Excited!  Let's talk about applying makeup for wide eyes...

If the spacing between your eyes is wider than the width of one eye, your eyes are considered wide-set. Your goal is to create the illusion that they are set closer together.

*In this case, you need to darken the inside hollows of your eye next to the bridge of your nose more than for any other eye shape. Deepening the color helps this area appear to recede and makes your eyes look closer together.

*Begin all dark-color application slightly in from the outer corners and blend your shadow in and up instead of outward, because an outward blending will "pull" the eyes wider apart, and your goal is to "pull" the eyes wider apart, and your goal is to "pull" them closer together.

APPLICATION:

1. Highlight shade: Apply to brow bone and lid.

2. Mid tone shade: Starting from the outer corner of the crease, bring the color towards the inside corner of your eye. Be sure to apply a few more layers to the inside corners to deepen the color and help visually push the eyes closer together.

3. Contour shade: Starting slightly in from the outer corner, brush it across the upper lash line and up into the crease of your eye. Also sweep it underneath the lower lash line, being careful not to extend the color beyond the outer edge of the eye.

Great Day! Get Excited! I’m so excited about this product review, if your eyelids have seen better days, bring them back with a smoothing gel, introducing Lierac DioptiLissi Lifting Instant Smoothing Gel. Lierac Paris has blessed US stateside with its presence in our Duane Reade drugstores. The line of anti-aging skin care products that developed a following across the pond (Paris) has brought forth a new series of eye products. A few weeks ago I was introduce to this amazing eye product, it lifts, moisturize and firm. This instant smoothing gel improves makeup hold when use as a base, prevent creasing, minimizes the appearance of fine lines and provides an immediate lifting effect.

How to Keep Eye Makeup Fresh During the Summer

Great Day! Thanks for stopping by. As the warm weather begin to roll in here’s a few more tips to keep your summer look fresh. Switch to products that can handle the heat. Look for long-wearing or waterproof mascara, choose eye pencils over liquid liners, and switch to shadows that harden to a cream once applied.

Go light. Line the upper lash line, or settle for a sweep of a light shadow. Shadow from lash line to brow is more likely to cake or crease in the heat, and darker colors will be more apparent if they bleed

Skip eyeliner and mascara on the lower lashes. It's likely to streak in the sweaty under-eye area.

Set eye makeup with a light dusting of loose powder. This will help absorb any moisture that may cause eye makeup to melt.

Use a non-powdered blotting paper to remove any under-eye perspiration when you do notice streaking. Wipe away any eye makeup with a clean cotton swab.

Summer Beauty Pick
Flori Roberts Oil Blotting Translucent Powder - Oil inhibiting formula that minimizes shine and creates a natural, matte finish. Convenient for touch ups…

Hooded Eyes vs Bedroom Eyes Why

Get Excited! Get Excited! Hooded eyes are sometimes called "bedroom eyes" because the lids tend to look partly closed. Applied correctly, eye color can help hooded eyes appear more open by minimizing the eyelid. Your goal is to make the fleshy lid area "push away" or recede, and help your eyes become more prominent than the eyelids.

*Never use a dark eyeshadow over the entire lid, because it makes it appear heavier and will close in your eyes.

*Don't be tempted to highlight the browbone too much because doing so can accentuate the hooded appearance.

TIP:
The eyebrow shape is very important, because attention can be diverted from the hooded eyelid with a beautifully shaped eyebrow.

How to Get the Thickest Lashes Ever

Get Excited! Get Excited! Just because you've bought great mascara, doesn't mean you'll automatically have perfect lashes. It all depends on what you do with it.

To make top lashes look longer by pushing outer lashes towards the temples, the middle ones up towards the brows, and the inner lashes to the nose. This sunray effect drastically makes lashes look longer. Apply the same technique to lower lashes with the center lashes pointed straight down towards the jaw."

Use a rolling technique with the wand (roll the wand with your hands as you apply) to push the lash teeth deep into the lash roots and pull the wand to the tips.

Pro Tip:
Try using dark brown mascara on the inner half of the eye and black mascara on the outer lashes. This creates dimension and elongates the lankiest outer part of the lashes."

How to Choose the Right Eye Makeup

Great Day! Hope all is well. I know at times it can be very difficult to find the right eye shadow shades for your eye color. With so many colors to choose from, it can be very difficult. You don't want your eyes to look scary or wear the wrong colors. Especially wearing a dark coat of black or brown eye liner. Here you will find out which eye shadow shades will work best for your eye color.

Blue Eyes: Brown and rose shades. Warm shades contrast the coolness, making them pop out.

Brown Eyes: Green and gold shades. These two shades will pick up the colored flecks found in brown eyes. Bet you never knew that huh! Choose a slightly shimmery texture to make them pop out even more.

Green Eyes: Lavender and mocha shades. Purple shades contrast the color, making them look dramatic. Try softer shades of mocha.

Hazel Eyes: Deep green and pale yellow shades. Choose a shade that matches different flecks in your eyes.
